Senior Accountant

Our client company, a specialty construction products manufacturing firm, is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join the team at its Chattanooga-area office. The Senior Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to keep track of the company's assets, liabilities, P&L, and other related financial items. Primary responsibilities include:

• General cost accounting;
• AR and AP;
• Prepping and reviewing monthly balance sheets as well as P&L statements and income statements;
• Conducting credit checks with new accounts;
• Maintaining the general ledger;
• Reconciling bank accounts;
• Closing monthly books;
• Verifying/completing payments of invoices;
• Working with external auditors when necessary;

To be considered for an interview, candidates MUST HAVE:

• A 4 year degree in Finance, Accounting, or related;
• 2+ years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing setting;
