Field Technician - Residential Remodel, Service & Repair
Job Description
Job Title: Field Technician - Residential Remodel, Service & Repair
Company: Hawkhill Property Services
Location: DFW Metroplex (field-based)
About Us:
Hawkhill Property Services is a fast-growing, full-service property services firm headquartered in Colleyville and built on a simple idea: do great work, treat people right, and handle the work that matters with our own in-house crews. We deliver maintenance, repairs, and turns in-house — including licensed trades in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical — with no subcontracting the work that matters. We serve property management companies, investors, and real estate agents across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, primarily single-family rental homes with a growing book of apartment turn work as well. We're still growing fast, which means the people joining us now have a real chance to grow with the company, take on more responsibility, and help shape how we operate.

- Lock changes and repairs
- Painting and drywall repair

- HVAC filter changes and basic troubleshooting
- Landscaping and groundskeeping (minor tasks, as needed)
- Document completed work and any materials used.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, our central dispatch team and property managers.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and to a high standard.
- Maintain company tools and equipment.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role (minimum 2 years)
- Strong work ethic and real pride in your work; thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and consistently hits deadlines.
- Strong general knowledge of various maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot common household issues.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in various conditions.
- Basic tool proficiency.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with maintenance and work-order software (e.g., Property Meld, SiteCapture, Housecall Pro).
- Prior experience with single-family and/or apartment make-readies and unit turns.
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly pay, commensurate with experience and licensing.
- Company paid holiday and paid time off
- Company subsidized health insurance plan
