About the Position

We are a growing hepatology-focused clinical research site in Pasadena, California, conducting clinical trials in liver disease and related conditions. We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and dependable Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join our research team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinical research professional who wants to develop significant hands-on experience in clinical trials and grow within a research organization.

This is an on-site position in Pasadena, California. We are seeking candidates who currently reside in Southern California and are able to reliably commute to our office.

Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is required.

Liver/hepatology research experience is highly desirable, but we are also interested in strong CRC candidates with experience in other complex therapeutic areas such as gastroenterology, oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, or other clinical research specialties.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Research Coordinator will assist with the conduct of clinical trials from study start-up through study completion.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Coordinating day-to-day activities for assigned clinical trials
  • Screening and enrolling potential study participants
  • Conducting and coordinating study visits
  • Communicating with study participants regarding appointments, procedures, and study requirements
  • Reviewing medical records and determining potential study eligibility
  • Maintaining accurate and complete source documentation
  • Entering clinical data into electronic data capture (EDC) systems
  • Responding to and resolving data queries
  • Coordinating laboratory testing, imaging, procedures, biopsies, and other protocol-required assessments
  • Maintaining study-specific files and regulatory documentation
  • Assisting with study start-up and regulatory activities
  • Communicating with sponsors, CROs, laboratories, imaging facilities, and other study vendors
  • Preparing for and assisting with monitoring visits and audits
  • Identifying and reporting protocol deviations and other study issues
  • Maintaining accurate study logs and tracking study activities
  • Ensuring study procedures are performed according to the protocol, ICH-GCP, and applicable regulations
  • Working closely with investigators, advanced practice providers, and other research staff
  • Performing other clinical research duties as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related, biological science, clinical research, or related field
  • Previous clinical research experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent English and Spanish
  • Ability to work on-site in Pasadena, California
  • Ability to manage multiple studies, patients, and competing priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn electronic research systems
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and follow-through

Preferred

  • 1–3 years of clinical research coordinator experience
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical or CRO-sponsored clinical trials
  • Experience with EDC systems
  • Experience with clinical trial documentation and source data
  • Experience with study monitoring visits
  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP and FDA clinical research requirements
  • Experience in hepatology, gastroenterology, metabolic disease, oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, or another complex therapeutic area
  • Experience working in a physician practice or community-based research setting

We will consider candidates with less clinical research experience who demonstrate exceptional organization, initiative, communication skills, and a strong interest in clinical research.
