Lumper / Warehouse Worker

Job Overview

We are a third-party lumper company looking for a dependable and hardworking Lumper / Warehouse Worker. Our team provides loading and unloading services at different warehouse locations.

We manually load and unload different types of boxed materials from trucks and shipping containers. Some boxes may be heavy, so this position requires regular lifting and physical activity.

This is a hands-on position performed without forklifts or other unloading equipment. Employees may also spend part of their scheduled shift waiting for trucks or containers to arrive.

Schedule

• Full-time: 40 hours per week MON-FRI
• Shift: 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Some scheduled hours may include waiting for truckloads to arrive

Responsibilities

• Manually load and unload boxes from trucks and shipping containers
• Lift, carry, sort, and stack different types of boxed materials
• Arrange boxes securely on pallets
• Wrap completed pallets with stretch wrap
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Work efficiently and cooperate with team members
• Follow all company safety rules and proper lifting procedures

Work Locations

Most work will be performed at the employee’s regular assigned location. However, on rare occasions, employees may be required to work at a different warehouse within the Phoenix or Goodyear area. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move heavy boxes safely
• Dependable, punctual, and ready to work at 4:00 a.m.
• Strong attention to workplace safety
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Warehouse or unloading experience is helpful but not required
• Reliable transportation to work locations in the Phoenix and Goodyear area

Safety is extremely important. All employees are expected to use proper lifting techniques, remain aware of their surroundings, and follow company safety procedures at all times.
