About the Role

We’re seeking reliable Assistant Managers to help lead day time, evening, and weekend operations at our Rita’s Italian Ice locations. This role is ideal for someone who want consistent part-time work with real responsibility and leadership opportunities.

Assistant Managers are responsible for running shifts, supervising staff, ensuring product quality, handling customer concerns, closing the store properly, and ensure adequate staffing. This is a hands-on leadership role that plays a critical part in keeping the store running smoothly during our busiest hours.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership

• Lead shifts with confidence and professionalism
• Direct team members and delegate tasks
• Maintain high standards for customer service, cleanliness, and product quality
• Ensure all staff follow procedures and policies

Staff Supervision

• Supervise and support the team members
• Address minor performance issues during shifts
• Reinforce expectations clearly and respectfully
• Serve as a role model for professionalism and work ethic

Customer Experience

• Handle customer concerns and complaints promptly
• Ensure accurate order execution
• Maintain a friendly, efficient service environment

Closing & Cash Handling

• Complete nightly closing procedures
• Balance registers and prepare deposits
• Ensure all cleaning and shutdown tasks are completed
• Secure the store at close

Communication

• Communicate shift outcomes, issues, or concerns to the Store Manager
• Document incidents, call-offs, or disciplinary issues as needed

Qualifications

• Prior food service or retail experience preferred
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work evenings and weekends
• Able to remain calm under pressure
