Mortgage Loan Processor

Overview

In this vital role, you will coordinate and manage all aspects of mortgage loan processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency from application to closing. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional service and supporting our mission to make homeownership accessible and seamless for every borrower.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications and supporting documentation to verify accuracy and completeness
• Communicate with borrowers, real estate agents, and lenders to gather necessary information and clarify details
• Prepare and process loan files in accordance with regulations and internal policies
• Coordinate with underwriters, title companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth loan approvals and closings
• Ensure all contracts, disclosures, and legal documents are correctly completed and compliant with federal and state regulations
• Utilize financial software systems to input data, track progress, and generate reports on loan status
• Perform basic math calculations accurately for income verification, debt-to-income ratios, and eligibility assessments
• Loan servicing duties to including, but not limited to, uploading closed loan files to investor portals

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience in mortgage loan processing within a bank environment
• Knowledge of mortgage processing procedures, including disclosures and contract management
• Strong understanding of financial software platforms used in loan processing workflows
• Proficiency in 10-key typing for data entry tasks with speed and accuracy
• Ability to perform basic math calculations confidently for income analysis and qualification purposes
• Prior experience working with loan processing regulations, contracts, and compliance standards is highly desirable
