Sign Installer and shop assistant

We are seeking a Sign Installer to join our team!

The role primarily involves installing various types of signage with secondary duties of helping out in the shop when not busy on installs.

Responsibilities:

• Install signs safely and accurately, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
• Work at heights using ladders, lifts, and bucket trucks.
• Assist in shop tasks, including sign preparation and assembly.
• Hang banners throughout the city during peak seasons.
• Must be good safe user of hand tools like power drills and saws
• Follow multi-step directions and project plans.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Occasionally travel beyond the Boston area for installations.
• Keeping the shop and vehicles clean and organized.

Requirements:

• Needs to be proficient in vinyl sign installation from small to big jobs and can lead a crew.
• Needs to be good at basic 3D lettering jobs drilled in on studs or adhesive backed.
• Comfortable working at heights and handling heavy materials (must be able to lift 50 lbs).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional night shifts (2-3 times per year).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy—must be able to hang signs level.
• Clean driving record (REQUIRED) for operating our bucket truck.
• Ability to pass OSHA safety exams as needed.
• Familiarity with downtown and Back Bay Boston is a plus (expect some traffic!).

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
• Hours: Typically 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime during busy seasons.
• Healthcare: No company-sponsored insurance, but after six months of employment, a $500/month healthcare stipend is provided.
• Can offer 1 week of sick pay and 1 week of paid vacation. Vacation cannot be taken towards the end of March thorugh April due to peak season demand.
