Litigation Paralegal – Civil & Business Litigation
Green Meadows Partners is recruiting for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a well-established Knoxville law firm. This position will support a busy civil litigation practice with a significant volume of active cases.
We are looking for someone with hands-on civil and business litigation experience who is comfortable working in a genuinely high-volume environment. The practice includes business and contract disputes, landlord/tenant matters, real estate disputes, business breakups, and other commercial litigation. Experience supporting personal injury matters is also a plus.
This role requires someone who can manage competing priorities, stay ahead of deadlines, and keep a large number of active cases organized and moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys across a high-volume civil and business litigation caseload
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, notices, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and other litigation documents
- Assist with business disputes, contract matters, landlord/tenant disputes, real estate litigation, and other civil matters
- Manage case files and maintain accurate and organized records
- Track court, discovery, hearing, deposition, mediation, and trial deadlines
- Coordinate discovery and assist with document gathering, organization, and production
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and other parties
- Assist with deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial preparation
- Organize exhibits, records, evidence, and other case materials
- Assist with personal injury matters as needed
- Maintain consistent follow-up and help keep cases progressing efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous paralegal or litigation support experience within a law firm
- Civil and/or business litigation experience strongly preferred
- Experience with business disputes, contracts, real estate disputes, landlord/tenant matters, or similar civil litigation is highly desirable
- Personal injury experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings, discovery, and case deadlines
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities
