Schedule:

Monday-Friday / 8:00am-5:00pm


Job Summary:

The technician will use inspection tools and testing equipment to verify dimensions, functionality, and product quality while following blueprints, specifications, and established procedures.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual or instrumented inspections (using source specimens, etc.) to identify defects, flaws, or inconsistencies
  • Document inspection findings, create detailed reports, and update data systems regarding quality results
  • Ensure all materials and equipment comply with project standards and safety protocols
  • Calibrate, clean, and maintain inspection tools and equipment
  • Identify root causes of defects and collaborate with project teams to implement profess improvement
  • Conduct specialized tests ( e.g., non-destructive evaluation/NDE, ultrasonic) on materials
  • Operate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy
  • Record inspection data, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate logs for compliance purposes
  • Package devices safely for shipping


Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent - technical training or certification preferred (e.g., NDT, quality control)
  • Past work experience in functional testing and certifying equipment to standards.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, climb, stoop, sit, crouch, crawl, balance, reach, speak and hear.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • The vision requirements include close and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
