- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for procedures in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety protocols.
- Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Open Dental, Dentrix, or Epic; document treatment details accurately following medical documentation standards.
- Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to ensure safety during treatment sessions while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and answer questions about procedures or billing processes as a competent dental receptionist.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment by processing dental instruments properly and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning optimally for efficient patient care.
