Michigan Licensed Journeyman Electrician


As a Licensed Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on a high-end commercial kitchen and dining construction project. This role requires strong commercial electrical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently while meeting project specifications and electrical codes.


Job Type: Full-time
Location: Diamond Lake, Cassopolis, MI
Hourly Rate: Based on Experience
Expected Hours: 40 hours/week
Duration: Approximately 9–12 months
Schedule: 5 days/week, 8-hour days


Required Skills:

  • Active Michigan Journeyman Electrician license
  • Strong commercial electrical experience
  • Professional presentation and communication
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and blueprints
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, safety procedures, and construction practices


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on commercial construction projects.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Install wiring, fixtures, equipment, and other electrical components as required.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify potential issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other trades and construction teams to keep the project on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform quality work with attention to detail and project requirements.


Experience

  • Active Michigan Journeyman Electrician license required.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician in commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, professional, and able to maintain a high standard of workmanship.
