We are seeking a Microbiologist to support end-to-end (E2E) microbiology activities within a corporate Quality, Safety & Environment (QSE) team. This role focuses on routine microbiological testing, research, and laboratory operations supporting global R&D projects. The ideal candidate will contribute to microbiology experimentation, laboratory management, and product safety initiatives while collaborating with internal teams and external testing laboratories.

Responsibilities

  • Perform microbiology clearance testing for ingredients, laboratory, and pilot plant samples.
  • Design and execute microbiology experiments, including microbial challenge testing, strain identification, method development, rapid method validation, and antimicrobial testing.
  • Coordinate testing activities with external laboratories and internal stakeholders.
  • Support daily laboratory operations, including media preparation, waste disposal, and maintaining laboratory SOPs.
  • Analyze data, document findings, and support continuous improvement of microbiology processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology.
  • Experience with microbiology testing, laboratory coordination, and design of experiments (DOE).
  • Hands-on experience in microbial challenge testing, method validation, alternative rapid microbiological methods, and molecular and traditional microbiology.
  • Strong scientific knowledge, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills with a team-oriented mindset.
