Role summary: The Real Estate Asset Lead oversees the financial, operational, and strategic performance of an

assigned portfolio of properties, serving as the primary liaison between ownership and third-party property

operations.

Position Overview

The REAL is responsible for overseeing the operational and financial performance of assigned properties.

This role serves as the primary point of accountability for property oversight, third-party operational results.

The REAL works to protect asset value, improve performance, and support ownership objectives across the assets.

This position requires strong leadership, financial understanding and operational awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day performance of assigned properties.

• Review property operations, financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, and variance explanations.

• Monitor occupancy, leasing activity, collections, delinquency, renewals, concessions, and overall property performance.

• Track maintenance priorities, and property improvement initiatives.

• Reporting all inconsistences to Director of Asset Management.

• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve portfolio performance.

• Assist in the preparation and review of annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans.

• Review monthly financial statements and operating reports for accuracy and performance trends.

• Provide regular portfolio updates and executive summaries to leadership.

• Maintain organized records of reporting, contracts, action items, and asset-level communication.

• Collaborate with leadership on portfolio strategy, performance goals, and asset positioning.

• Responsible for the ongoing accuracy and upkeep of all asset data, reports, and related records.

Qualifications

• Accurate data entry skills.

• Ability to interpret reports and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple properties, priorities, and deadlines at once.

• Proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and property-related systems.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

Position Goals

• Protect and enhance the value of each assigned property.

• Improve operational consistency across the portfolio.

• Review timely and accurate reporting from third-party operators.

• Increase efficiency, accountability, and performance at the property level.

Reporting Structure

• The REAL reports to the Director of Asset Management

  • Previous real estate experience is a plus but not required
