TruPower Electric is an electrical contractor that specializes in highly custom residential homes, as well as commercial projects throughout the state of New Jersey and beyond. Our commercial projects range from the simple office fit outs and multi-family projects, to warehouses and multiple floor new construction office buildings.

In the almost 10 years that TruPower Electric has been around, we have grown from a simple 2 man crew doing the odd service call, to a team of 40+ full time employees within multiple departments. From the field crews to the service call department, the office staff to the generator division, all our employees feel the energy, teamwork, and trust that it takes to run a successful company.


Position Summary

This position is at our office in Toms River, NJ.

We are seeking an estimator to join our estimating team. Past experience either as an electrical estimator or actual commercial electrical experience, is a must. The estimator will work closely with the senior estimator to build estimates from the initial takeoff to the final proposal. Computer literacy and at least a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must.


Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Analysis of job based on the blueprints
  • Item takeoffs
  • Prepare estimated cost of job based on cost of material and labor
  • Prepare final proposal


Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience with electrical estimating preferred, commercial electrical field work experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, takeoff programs, and estimating software
  • A strong knowledge of electrical codes, systems, and industry practices
  • Excellent time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Quick to learn new computer programs and skills


Schedule

Mon – Thursday 8:30-5:00

Friday 8:30-2:00
