Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Role Overview
BEPC is seeking a dependable Medical Device Assembler to join our client's manufacturing team in St. Paul, Minnesota. This is a great opportunity for candidates with experience in assembly, production, packaging, electronics, or regulated manufacturing who want to gain additional experience supporting the production of important medical equipment.
In this role, you will help assemble, package, repair, and test capital medical equipment, including products comparable to computers, generators, and other electronic equipment. You'll work from standardized procedures while maintaining accurate production documentation, product traceability, and high quality standards.
Important: This position operates in an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment, not a cleanroom. Candidates must be comfortable working around electronic components and following established ESD, safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
Reliability is especially important for this team. Candidates must be able to commit to a full 40-hour workweek with no absences during the first 30 days.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and package medical equipment and related components according to established procedures.
- Perform basic assembly, repair, and testing activities on capital equipment and electronic products.
- Handle and maneuver small components and parts accurately.
- Follow standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and written procedures.
- Maintain accurate traveler, production, and quality documentation to ensure complete product traceability.
- Use electronic data collection systems and computer software to document manufacturing activities.
- Inspect work for quality and identify potential manufacturing or product issues.
- Communicate production concerns, problems, and potential solutions to supervisors and manufacturing leadership.
- Follow ESD controls, safety requirements, and appropriate manufacturing practices.
- Maintain accurate and current documentation for manufacturing cell operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives focused on improving productivity, quality, and operational performance.
- Support Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Apply basic Lean Manufacturing principles to daily production activities.
- Prioritize assignments based on production requirements and deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with operators, supervisors, and manufacturing support teams.
- Maintain dependable attendance and support overtime requirements when needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to recognize and differentiate colors as required by the manufacturing process.
- Ability to commit to 40 hours per week and maintain reliable attendance, including no absences during the first 30 days.
- Experience following established manufacturing or production processes.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to accurately complete manufacturing and quality documentation.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic data collection systems.
- Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Willingness and availability to work overtime based on production demand.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous medical device manufacturing experience.
- Experience in another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Assembly, electronics assembly, packaging, or production experience.
- Experience working in an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment.
- ERP system experience.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience assembling or testing electronic or capital equipment.
Work Environment
This is a 100% onsite position within an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment. It is not a cleanroom position.
Candidates will perform hands-on assembly and/or packaging of capital medical equipment and should be comfortable working with small components, electronic equipment, standardized manufacturing procedures, and detailed documentation.
The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime is an important part of production operations and may vary from week to week based on business needs.
Dress & Safety Requirements
Candidates must comply with established manufacturing dress and safety requirements. Clothing must be clean, tightly woven, non-shedding, and free from loose threads, fringes, glitter, sequins, or other materials that could become dislodged.
Loose-fitting clothing should not be worn around machinery or soldering/brazing equipment. Closed, appropriate footwear is required; sandals, slippers, clogs, open-toe, and open-heel shoes are not permitted. Socks or stockings are required.
Torsos, upper arms, and legs must remain appropriately covered. Scented personal products should not be worn other than deodorant, and any open or bleeding wound must be appropriately covered.
Candidates will receive additional site-specific dress and safety requirements before entering the manufacturing area.
