Physician Assistant

We are looking for a responsible Physician Assistant for our busy general practice. Our office is also multi-specialty with a variety of specialists coming to our office to see our patients for better continuity of care.

Position is full time Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours beginning in the fall which is rotated among all providers.

Responsibilities included, but not limited to, are:

• Assess patients' health and their demands and aim to fulfill them to the best ability
• Maintain accurate and detailed chart notes
• Issue appropriate prescriptions
• Administer/Order appropriate medications
• Care Management experience preferred
• Inform physicians of any problems, discrepancies or concerns that arise
• Acquire and review patient histories identifying abnormal conditions and addressing
• Monitor patients' progress and keep accurate records of treatments, surgeries or other medical events
• Attend to emergencies
• Provide therapeutic treatments
• Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for the patients
• Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards
• Collaborate effectively with team members of various specialties treating all with respect
• Assist physician with hospital rounds at one location

Skills:

• Proven work experience for a minimum of 2 years as a physician assistant and must be certified
• Experience in internal medicine/general practice preferred
• Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures regarding examination, therapy and recovery
• Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
• Caring and compassionate
• Team player with good communication skills

We are primarily a family practice office, but we are also multi-specialty. We have a variety of specialists at our location weekly to accommodate our patients and also provide better continuity of care. We perform xrays on site and also offer echocardiograms, ultrasounds and dopplers appointments on a weekly basis.
