Electromechanical Assembler – Defense Search

OVERVIEW

Immediate opening for a Electromechanical Assembler in San Diego, CA who possesses:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing role, defense/aerospace preferred
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions

FULL DESCRIPTION:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Working with the Product Line Manager, Process Engineer, and other Manufacturing Operators and Technicians to ensure component manufacturing is completed in a timely fashion according to the schedule.
• Ensuring all company and customer quality and reliability requirements are met or exceeded.
• Using microscopes to complete visual inspections of parts in accordance with SOPs.
• Utilizing small hand tools such as tweezers, pliers, and precision cutting tools.
• Operating manufacturing equipment including thick film printers, solder paste dispensers, reflow ovens, molding machines, curing ovens, vapor degreasers, and computers.
• Escalating equipment issues to the maintenance team through clear verbal and written communication.
• Reporting process or manufacturing problems to leadership and assisting in identifying variables to resolve issues.
• Completing paperwork including production travelers, inspection records, and test reports for accurate documentation.
• Adhering to safety protocols and supporting compliance with applicable regulatory agencies.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

The selected candidate will also possess:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting (aerospace or defense background preferred).
• Attention to detail and solid problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Physical ability to manipulate small tools/objects, sit or stand for extended periods, and utilize close-up vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment for microscope work.

Salary Range: $18.00 to $25.00/hour
