Downtown Austin law firm is seeking a litigation paralegal with 3-5+ years experience. The firm represents clients in high-stakes, complex business disputes in venues across the country. The ideal candidate has experience working as a paralegal in a similar practice.

The firm offers a competitive base pay. Also, bonus, annual raises, healthcare paid at 100%, parking, 401k with match and other perks. No minimum billable hour requirement.

Primary duties include:

• Manage litigation files, including document collection, organization, and maintenance throughout the case lifecycle.

• Assist attorneys with drafting, proofreading, and cite-checking legal documents such as motions, briefs, witness lists, exhibit lists, trial binders, and pre-trial statements. Draft basic pleadings and notices.

• Gather and prepare deposition and hearing exhibits.

• Gather, finalize and transmit document productions.

• Coordinate and manage discovery, including drafting discovery requests/responses, reviewing production, and creating privilege logs.

• Oversee e-discovery processes, including liaising with vendors, maintaining databases, and performing document review using litigation support platforms (e.g. Relativity).

• Prepare trial notebooks, exhibit binders, witness files, and case chronologies.

• Coordinate with court personnel, experts, and witnesses to ensure smooth trial operations.

• Develop timelines, case maps, and strategic summaries for attorney review.

• Serve as a point of contact for clients, experts, investigators, and third parties.

• Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and client meetings.

• Prepare expert witness materials, engagement letters, and document sets.

Qualifications and competencies:

• 3-5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.

• Strong knowledge of civil procedure, court rules, and filing procedures (state and federal).

• Experience with e-discovery databases (e.g. Relativity).
