WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We currently seeking a Facility Project Coordinator for a Multifamily property in the Hoover AL, area.
A Facility Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting and overseeing the facilities projects from initiation to completion. This includes coordinating small- to mid-scale projects such as renovations, minor and major repairs, or upgrades, while ensuring that projects meet organizational and industry standards requirements.
We are searching for an experienced professional with strong leadership skills and a positive attitude to assist in our apartment community. The candidate needs to have a combination of property management or facilities management experience, hands-on in maintenance, operations, skills in coordination, compliance, and vendor management.
Our goal, as the Facility Project Coordinator, will be to ensure that our property residents live in a clean and safe environment. You should ensure efficient support daily operations and meet objectives as a team.
JOB PURPOSE:
As the Facility Project Coordinator, the responsibilities are extensive and varied, however, you will primarily be supporting for the overall maintenance and management of residential property and to the satisfaction of the tenant base.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Be able to work as part of a team with the managers and supervisors to provide a great living environment for our residents and a safe and motivating work atmosphere for our staff.
- Support the managers and supervisors in the day-to-day operations projects of the community.
- Enforce health, safety, and security regulations, conduct regular inspections, and maintain compliance records.
- Evaluate security systems, prepare emergency action plans, and ensure the facility meets local regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all facility projects and work in diverse settings.
- Collaboration with the facilities managers, supervisors or leadership team to ensure operational continuity and a safe, comfortable environment.
- Maintaining the operational efficiency, safety, and strategic management of a facility, balancing immediate maintenance needs with long-term planning and compliance.
- Liaise with external service providers to schedule work, monitor progress, and ensure quality.
- Manage supplies and equipment inventory; place orders and track usage.
- Assist on the daily basis maintenance issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two (2) years of property management experience preferred.
- Understanding of property systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and facility management industry standards.
- Familiarity with multifamily property operations and compliance documentation is often required.
- Attention to detail and exceptional follow thru.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Think strategically, planning and anticipate long-term facility needs.
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License
