Job Description:
As a Dog Mobile Groomer at Doggie Barber Mobile Barber, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of pets and their owners by providing professional grooming services with care and compassion. You'll have the unique opportunity to work in a mobile grooming van equipped with all the necessary tools and supplies, offering a comfortable and personalized grooming experience to dogs of all breeds and sizes.
Key Responsibilities:
Pet Grooming: Perform grooming services, including bathing, brushing, haircutting, nail trimming, and ear cleaning, according to breed-specific standards and customer preferences.
Client Communication: Consult with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and preferences. Provide recommendations and ensure excellent customer service.
Pet Safety: Safeguard the well-being of pets throughout the grooming process. Maintain a calm and soothing environment to minimize stress.
Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain grooming tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe and working condition.
Sanitation: Keep the grooming van clean and sanitized to maintain a hygienic workspace for both pets and groomers.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of each grooming session, including the services provided, pet's condition, and any special instructions or requests from the client.
Time Management: Efficiently manage grooming appointments and travel between clients' locations, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
Continued Education: Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques, trends, and best practices to provide the highest level of service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a dog groomer (certification preferred).
- Knowledge of different dog breeds, coat types, and grooming styles.
- Excellent pet handling skills and a deep love for animals.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and restrain pets when necessary.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
