Litigation Legal Assistant

Mesriani Law Group is seeking an organized and dependable Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys handling personal injury and employment law matters. This position is ideal for someone who understands the litigation process, takes initiative, and can confidently manage deadlines and case-related assignments in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys throughout all stages of litigation
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Prepare and respond to written discovery
• Organize case files, medical records, employment records, and supporting evidence
• Calendar and monitor court dates, discovery deadlines, depositions, and other important deadlines
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and client appointments
• Assist with trial and hearing preparation
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, medical providers, and other parties
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case information in the firm’s case-management system
• Provide general litigation and administrative support to attorneys as needed

Qualifications:

• Prior litigation experience is required
• Experience in personal injury, employment law, or both is strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of California court procedures, deadlines, and filing requirements
• Experience preparing pleadings and discovery documents
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and staff
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case-management software
