About the Role:
Schaeflen Management LLC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join their growing team in Abington, PA! Responsibilities:
  • Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, and cleanings
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patient visits
  • Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist
  • Greet patients, review medical histories, and ensure patient comfort throughout appointments
  • Record treatment information and update patient charts accurately in dental practice management software
  • Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed
  • Educate patients on post-treatment care and proper oral hygiene practices
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification or vocational training preferred
  • Prior experience as a dental assistant is a plus but not required — we welcome motivated new graduates
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, instruments, and chairside assisting techniques
  • Radiology certification or willingness to obtain one as required by Pennsylvania state regulations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, patient-centered approach
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records is a bonus
