Job Description

We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and customer-focused Plumbing Technician to join our team. The Plumbing Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining residential and/or commercial plumbing systems while providing excellent service to our customers.

The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally with customers, works efficiently, and can identify plumbing problems and recommend appropriate solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose plumbing issues and determine the appropriate repair or replacement solution.
  • Perform service, repair, installation, and maintenance of plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Repair and replace faucets, toilets, sinks, garbage disposals, water heaters, piping, valves, and other plumbing components.
  • Diagnose and clear clogged drains and sewer lines when applicable.
  • Inspect plumbing systems for leaks, damage, safety concerns, and potential future problems.
  • Clearly explain findings, repair options, and recommendations to customers.
  • Provide accurate estimates and obtain customer approval before beginning work.
  • Complete assigned service calls efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and protect customers' homes and property.
  • Properly document completed work, materials used, recommendations, and customer information.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good working condition.
  • Follow company procedures as well as applicable plumbing, building, and safety codes.
  • Participate in training and continuing education to improve technical and customer-service skills.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous plumbing service, installation, or repair experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of residential and/or commercial plumbing systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing problems.
  • Ability to safely operate plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Plumbing license or certification as required by state or local regulations.
  • Ability to perform the physical duties associated with plumbing work.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry plumbing equipment and materials.
  • Ability to work in crawl spaces, attics, mechanical rooms, and other confined areas.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
