Facilities Maintenance Technician II

We are looking for a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Technician II to support the daily maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep of a school campus.

The ideal candidate has experience in building maintenance, construction, handyman work, or the trades and is comfortable helping with daily cleaning needs as part of the position.

The typical schedule is Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30 pm with occasional weekend event support needed.

What You'll Do

Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs.

Troubleshoot and assist with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, and other facility needs.

Perform daily cleaning of restrooms, classrooms, common areas, and other campus spaces.

Respond to spills, clogged toilets, cleaning needs, and facility issues throughout the school day.

Assist with event setups, deliveries, campus projects, and general facilities needs.

Safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning campus for students and staff.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of facilities maintenance or similar hands-on experience.

Experience with one or more trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, construction, or general building repair.

Willing and able to perform both maintenance and cleaning duties.

Able to speak, read, and write in English to communicate with staff, complete work orders, and understand safety instructions.

Valid driver's license.

Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing:

California DOJ/FBI Live Scan fingerprint background check.

TB screening/testing and clearance required for working in a school environment.
