Electrical Helper Duties

An electrical helper assists licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, performing hands-on tasks such as wiring, conduit work, and equipment setup under supervision.

Core Responsibilities

An electrical helper’s role is to support electricians in residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code. Key duties include:

  • Assisting with installations: Helping install wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and other electrical components under the direction of a licensed electrician Job Descriptions, Resumes, and Career Resources+1.
  • Running conduit and pulling wire: Measuring, cutting, and bending conduit; pulling wiring through raceways to connect power to outlets, fixtures, and equipment InterviewPrep.
