Occupational Therapist OTR/COTA

The Occupational Therapist OTR/COTA plays a crucial role in providing outpatient care through both individual and group therapy sessions. This position operates within a multidisciplinary team yet involves independent practice and may include supervisory responsibilities. The therapist regularly travels between facilities and occasionally for training or home visits, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments to evaluate needs and develop therapy plans
• Implement treatment plans tailored to individual and group therapy sessions
• Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions accordingly
• Educate patients on therapy goals and techniques
• Document therapy sessions, patient progress, and compliance information accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members for coordinated care
• Coordinate care activities across different facilities and providers
• Manage compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and licensure requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in occupational therapy
• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• OTR License or COTA Certification required
• Proficient in patient assessment and therapeutic techniques
• Experienced in rehabilitation planning and patient education
• Skilled in documentation and communication
