Senior Valuation Professional – Business Valuation & Advisory
Green Meadows Partners is partnering with an established professional services firm to identify an experienced Senior Valuation Professional to join its growing valuation and advisory practice.
This position is ideal for an experienced valuation professional who enjoys complex analytical work, direct client interaction, and building strong professional relationships. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in business valuation and financial analysis, with additional experience in areas such as estate and gift tax, litigation support, and transaction advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform valuations of closely held businesses, family limited partnerships, ownership interests, and other assets.
- Conduct financial analysis, financial modeling, industry research, and valuation assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive valuation reports and supporting documentation.
- Perform valuations related to estate and gift tax reporting, succession planning, gifting strategies, and wealth transfer.
- Analyze discounts for lack of marketability, minority interests, and other relevant valuation considerations.
- Prepare valuation work designed to withstand IRS review and scrutiny.
- Support estate and gift tax examinations, audits, and valuation-related inquiries.
- Work directly with business owners, high-net-worth individuals, family offices, attorneys, wealth advisors, trust officers, and other financial professionals.
- Provide support for litigation and expert witness engagements.
- Participate in mergers and acquisitions, transaction advisory, and quality of earnings engagements as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain relationships with attorneys, bankers, wealth advisors, business owners, and other referral partners.
- Identify opportunities for valuation, litigation support, and transaction advisory services.
- Represent the firm at professional networking events, industry associations, and client meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 7–10+ years of experience in business valuation, financial analysis, litigation support, transaction advisory, or a closely related area.
- Strong knowledge of business valuation methodologies and financial analysis.
- Experience preparing professional valuation reports and supporting documentation.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, research, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working directly with clients and professional advisors.
- Master’s degree and/or professional certification such as CPA, CFA, ABV, ASA, or CVA highly preferred.
- Experience with estate and gift tax valuations, wealth transfer planning, and succession planning preferred.
- Litigation support, expert witness, M&A, transaction advisory, and/or quality of earnings experience is a plus.
- Established relationships with attorneys, bankers, wealth advisors, and privately held business owners in Tennessee and surrounding markets are highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional referral relationships.
