Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Silver Healthcare in Cherry Hill Township, New Jersey. As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Silver Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physical therapy services to our residents. Our dynamic nursing facility offers a range of specialties, including Ventilator Care, Dementia with Behavioral Disturbances, Long-Term Care Dementia programming, and short-term skilled rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care.

About the Role:

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work directly under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Physical Therapists with patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports
• Implementing physical therapy treatment plans, including exercises, modalities, and other interventions
• Providing manual therapy techniques, such as massage and soft tissue mobilization
• Conducting patient assessments and identifying areas of improvement
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

  • New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant licensure

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lift and transfer patients as needed
