Can you read a print, choose the right tooling, upload a program, and turn out a perfect first piece—then keep two VMCs producing while you prep the next job? If that sounds like your rhythm, you’ll feel at home here.

What you’ll tackle
  • Set up and run CNC vertical milling centers to meet job specs and quality targets
  • Install tooling and fixtures; upload/verify programs
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Perform first-article and in-process checks with micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Tweak offsets, make minor adjustments, and troubleshoot light issues
  • Operate up to two machines at a time; complete 1–5 setups per shift depending on demand
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, team-first environment

  • CNC setup experience on vertical milling centers
  • Blueprint literacy
  • Quality inspection skills with micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Comfort with Fanuc controls

  • Haas VMC setup/operation experience
  • On-control program editing

  • Exposure to 5-axis CNC equipment
