Confidential Opportunity – Maintenance Director (Skilled Nursing Facility)

A well-established skilled nursing facility in the Chicagoland area is seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Director to oversee the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the building and its systems. This is a confidential search for a leadership role critical to resident safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all maintenance operations within the facility, including building systems, grounds, and equipment

• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and life safety regulations (IDPH, CMS, OSHA)

• Manage preventative maintenance programs and emergency repairs

• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate with outside vendors and contractors

• Maintain accurate records for inspections, repairs, and safety audits

• Respond promptly to urgent facility issues to ensure resident and staff safety

• Support survey readiness and participate in inspections as needed

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Maintenance Director or Lead Maintenance role in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting preferred

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems

• Familiarity with life safety codes and healthcare regulatory standards

• Leadership and team management experience

• Ability to respond to emergencies and prioritize urgent tasks

• Strong communication and organizational skills
