Candidate Pay Rate: $32.5 - $39.6 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate, compassionate venipuncture and capillary blood draws for patients of all ages
  • Collect, label, and prepare specimens following strict chain-of-custody and safety protocols
  • Use clear communication to explain procedures to patients and put them at ease
  • Maintain accurate documentation and verify patient information to ensure specimen integrity
  • Follow infection control, safety, and CPR procedures to protect patients and staff
  • Provide reliable coverage at other SY Health facilities as needed to support the team
Qualifications
  • Current Phlebotomy Certification
  • Current California State Phlebotomy Licensure
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred 1-2 years of medical laboratory experience as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
  • Proficient in medical terminology
  • Valid clean and clear Driver's license
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong phlebotomy technique and specimen handling
  • Proficiency in medical terminology
  • Patient-centered communication and bedside manner
  • Attention to detail and accurate documentation
  • Infection control and safety-conscious work habits
  • Ability to adapt to coverage needs across multiple clinic locations
