Position Summary

As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with their daily activities, household tasks, and overall well-being. You will provide companionship, ensure safety, and deliver services based on each client's individualized plan of care. If you have at least one year of experience in caregiving and a heart for service, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respectful and compassionate in-home support.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting (as assigned in the care plan).
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with meal planning, simple meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, dishes, and laundry.
• Help maintain a clean and safe home environment.
• Support clients with mobility and ambulation as permitted by the care plan.
• Provide medication reminders or assist with self-administration (as allowed).
• Encourage independence and participation in activities.
• Accompany clients to appointments or community activities (when transportation is authorized).
• Observe and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, or environment.
• Document services provided accurately and promptly.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and the client’s plan of care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience (PCA, CNA, direct care, or home care experience preferred).
• Compassionate and dependable personality.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and supervisors.
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
• Reliable transportation (preferred/required depending on assignment).
• Must pass required background checks and employment screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and assisting with mobility.

Physical Requirements

This role may involve standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting. You will also assist clients with mobility and perform household and personal care tasks while adhering to safe body mechanics and transfer procedures.
