Maintenance Director
Job Description
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for hands on operations of all facility equipment.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Organize repairs as needed.
- Perform preventative and schedule maintenance on facility equipment.
- Schedule, conduct & document fire and disaster drills.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing issues.
- Maintain accurate records and logs on maintenance activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, & plumbing repair.
- General handy man expertise.
- Knowledge of compressors, generators, & boilers helpful.
- Knowledge of Life Safety Code & State Nursing home regulations.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Ability to work independently.
Requirements:
- Must have high school education or equivalent.
- Vocational or technical school preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Two years experience in nursing home environment.
