Manifest Solutions is currently seeking an SCPFO Procurement Consultant for a position in Columbus, OH.
- Owns sourcing events and supplier relationships, balancing cost, schedule, and risk.
- Serves as the subject matter expert in the development of sourcing strategy associated with the procurement of labor, service, material, and equipment needs supporting business unit functions.
- Understands key business interests of company and third parties in the development and writing of the business deal.
- Applies negotiation techniques and methods to sourcing and contracting objectives.
- Manages supplier performance, contract compliance, risk, and other areas that support over-arching category management strategies.
- Leads cross-functional teams and may direct lower-level activities associated with sourcing, contracting or operational efforts.
- Sourcing ownership, commercial execution, cross-functional coordination
- Lead RFQs/RFPs and evaluate supplier proposals
- Develop sourcing strategies for assigned categories or projects
- Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to support decision-making
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and standard commercial terms
- Support contract development and collaborate with legal/finance on terms
- Manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements
- Identify and manage supply risks (lead time constraints, capacity, logistics issues)
- Coordinate across engineering, project teams, and operations for alignment
- Provide market intelligence and supplier insights to stakeholders
- Support execution of commercial strategies (e.g., inventory positioning, supplier allocation)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or other related field; OR 6 years of relevant work experience
- In addition to any experience required above, 5 years of relevant work experience, including experience working with cross-functional teams is required.
- Supply chain category management experience, preferably within the utility, manufacturing, or construction industry preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills desired.
- Ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) desired with an ability to communicate with business partners, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Ability to help develop and evolve category management processes and engage suppliers on operational, strategic, and financial issues.
