About This Role

Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children's play activities. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about daily experiences and developmental milestones. Foster children's emotional intelligence, social skills, and self-confidence. Provide high-quality care in a variety of institutional settings, such as group homes, schools, and facilities for people with disabilities.



What You'll Do

  • Ensure a safe and clean play environment for children.
  • Observe, record, and report on children's behavior and developmental progress.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Plan and lead engaging activities that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Care for children's physical and emotional needs, including meal preparation and health administration.
  • Clean and maintain toys, equipment, and living spaces.
  • Dress, groom, and support children's daily routines.
  • Record and track children's progress, including daily activities, meals, and medications.
  • Identify and address emotional or developmental concerns with parents and guardians.
  • Teach children essential life skills, such as personal hygiene and self-care.
  • Organize and maintain activity areas, supplies, and equipment.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as attendance, paperwork, and phone calls.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet children's individual needs.
  • Assist with household tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Engage children in literacy, art, and music activities.
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and refreshments to children.
  • Manage children's behavior and recommend strategies to promote positive behavior.
  • Regulate children's sleep and rest schedules.
  • Organize and participate in recreational activities, outings, and field trips.
  • Prepare and serve infant formulas and sterilize equipment.
  • Assist children with homework and academic tasks.
  • Provide specialized care for children with physical, developmental, or mental health disabilities.
  • Recruit, train, and schedule staff members to ensure adequate care and supervision.
  • Transport children to and from school, activities, and medical appointments.


Requirements
