Intake Coordinator

Job Description:

This position is responsible for receiving external referrals, assigning status to each referral, developing systems to track these referrals, ensuring the proper information is assigned to the referral and understanding what is missing in order to complete the referral, calling insurances to verify and receive authorization for this patient. The Intake Coordinator will oversee the referral process and assist in maintaining relationship status with referral sources, as well as requesting information from them when incomplete. This position is responsible for delegating and following up with each department to ensure that this referral will be processed.

• Must have expertise with insurance and authorization

• Must have a welcoming and pleasant demeaner to speak to referral sources and staff

• Must have organizational skills

• Must know Microsoft Office

• Must be a team player

• Be able to work in different softwares and monitor different softwares

• Must be able to adjudicate claims and understand the details of such

• Must be proficient in data entry

• Follow any duties requested form pharmacy manager

Salary: $25/hour
