Are you an experienced HVAC leader who knows how to build strong teams, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive service performance?
We're looking for a Residential HVAC Service Manager to lead our growing service department in Austin. This is an opportunity for a motivated leader who enjoys developing technicians, improving operational efficiency, and creating an outstanding customer experience while helping grow a successful residential HVAC business.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of residential HVAC Service Technicians to achieve high performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Manage the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, dispatch coordination, technician productivity, and workflow.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, average ticket, maintenance agreements, callback rates, and customer satisfaction.
- Ride along with technicians to provide coaching, technical support, and sales development opportunities.
- Assist technicians with complex troubleshooting, diagnostics, and customer concerns when needed.
- Ensure technicians maintain compliance with EPA regulations, company safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and develop top HVAC talent.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the installation, dispatch, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Manage inventory, fleet readiness, tools, and equipment for the service department.
- Review service reports for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally while protecting the company's reputation.
- Drive revenue growth through technician coaching, maintenance agreement development, and service excellence.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
- Previous experience leading or supervising HVAC technicians preferred.
- EPA Certification.
