Job Description
PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB POSITION
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks to ensure the community and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents, staff, and visitors.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required; trade or vocational training preferred.
Experience in building maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry preferred.
Knowledge of safety procedures, hand tools, and maintenance equipment.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Experience in Healthcare Maintenance required.

Respond promptly to resident and staff maintenance requests.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Perform routine inspections and repairs of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled; maintain accurate records.
Assist with painting, drywall, flooring, and minor renovation projects.
Ensure grounds are safe, clean, and well-kept, including snow removal and landscaping.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors under supervisor direction.
Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; request replenishment as needed.
Assist with fire safety, emergency preparedness, and safety equipment checks.
SAFETY AND SANITATION
Follow OSHA and facility safety policies; use appropriate PPE.
Lockout/tagout equipment when performing repairs; ensure work areas are safe.
Report hazards, incidents, or injuries immediately to supervisor.
Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Lift/carry up to 75 lbs; bend, kneel, and climb ladders as needed.
Work indoors/outdoors in varying temperatures.
Ability to respond to emergency calls after hours as needed.
