Join Whiz Kids Child Development Center, a family-orientated Center that provides a nurturing environment for children. We're seeking a dynamic School Age Lead Teacher to bring their passion for early childhood education to our team of caring and creative care givers. A successful candidate will possess a love for learning and a willingness to engage with children in a fun and interactive way.
Our ideal schedule:
Monday to Friday
Split shift: 6:30-9:00 A.M. and 2:00-5:00 P.M.
Shift times may vary to accommodate lesson planning and other responsibilities.
What You'll Do
The role of a School Age Lead Teacher at Whiz Kids involves:
- Creating engaging lesson plans that promote children's social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
- Collaborating with peers and associates to deliver age-appropriate activities
- Caring for children's basic needs and ensuring their well-being
- Moderating conflicts and promoting a positive environment
- Modeling behaviors that reflect our center's values and philosophies
- Encouraging open communication with staff and parents
- Participating in ongoing education and center events to stay up-to-date on best practices
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all children and staff
Requirements
To succeed as a school age teacher at Whiz Kids, you'll need:
- A clear criminal record
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a similar setting
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- A warm and approachable demeanor
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- A genuine passion for early childhood development
Nice To Haves
- An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- First aid certification per CT requirements
- CPR certification per CT requirements
- Medication certification per CT requirements
