Cardiovascular Technologist (Cath Lab Technologist) – Saint Helena, California. This travel assignment in a short-term acute care setting starts 08/31/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,692 to $2,819 with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is 5x8 days. The role supports invasive and non-invasive diagnostic work in the cardiovascular field, with responsibilities across cath lab procedures and related imaging.

Responsibilities
- Aids physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders by conducting invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems.
- Operates x-ray and physiological equipment; assists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; maintains equipment and records test results.
- Monitors, records, and evaluates patient vital signs throughout procedures; ensures patient safety and comfort during interventions.
- Maintains proper sterile techniques, adheres to infection control practices, and applies radiation safety principles (collimation, shielding, immobilization) during procedures.
- Manages cardiac cath equipment (C-arm, angiographic injectors, patient monitoring devices); reports malfunctions and performs preventive maintenance; capable of basic troubleshooting.
- Assists the Cardiologist/Radiologist during procedures and in the administration of opaque media via catheter or direct injection; must have EPIC experience for documentation and workflow.
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience; preferred—one year of catheterization experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required; Radiologic Tech (RT) license in the state of practice required (CA and HI). Current fluoroscopy license required within 6 months of hire. CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor per policy (AH policy) required; facility-specific BLS certification required as well.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; EPIC experience required.
- Additional licenses/credentials: Current Nursing license as required by the state of assignment.
- Other: Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced cath lab environment; able to operate specialized equipment and adapt to variable shift demands.
