Position Summary

As an In-Home Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with their daily activities and maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive home environment. From providing companionship to helping with personal care and household tasks, your work will directly improve the quality of life for those in your care. You’ll follow individualized plans of care, ensuring that each client receives respectful and compassionate support tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be responsible for tasks such as:
- Providing respectful and compassionate in-home support.
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, including dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting (as outlined in the care plan).
- Offering companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Helping with meal planning, simple meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Performing light housekeeping duties like sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, dishes, and laundry.
- Supporting clients with mobility and ambulation as permitted by the care plan.
- Providing medication reminders or assistance with self-administration (when authorized).
- Encouraging client independence and participation in appropriate activities.
- Assisting with appointments or community activities when transportation is authorized.
- Observing and reporting changes in the client’s health, behavior, or environment to supervisors.
- Documenting services provided accurately and promptly.
- Protecting client confidentiality and privacy while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We’re seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 1 year of caregiving, PCA, CNA, direct care, or home care experience is required.
- Compassionate and dependable personality with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow individualized care plans.
- Reliable transportation (preferred/required depending on assignment).
- Must pass required background checks and employment screenings.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Physical Requirements

This role may require:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting.
- Assisting clients with mobility and transfers.
- Performing household and personal care tasks while following safe body mechanics.
