Maintenance Technician / Handyman

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician / Handyman to provide repair and preventative maintenance support for our Rally’s restaurant locations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years of hands-on maintenance or handyman experience and be comfortable troubleshooting and completing a variety of general repairs. This position requires someone who can work independently, respond to maintenance issues promptly, and help keep our restaurants, equipment, and facilities safe and operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs at Rally’s restaurant locations.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical issues.
• Repair faucets, sinks, toilets, drains, doors, locks, handles, shelving, and other facility components.
• Replace light bulbs, switches, outlets, fixtures, and other basic electrical components when appropriate.
• Perform minor repairs on restaurant appliances and equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting maintenance issues related to kitchen and restaurant equipment.
• Inspect restaurant facilities and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to help reduce equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from restaurant managers.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and properly.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Keep records of repairs and maintenance work completed.
• Purchase or pick up maintenance parts and supplies when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while completing repairs.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable building and workplace safety requirements.
• Support multiple Rally’s restaurant locations as maintenance needs arise.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1 years of experience in maintenance, handyman work, facility maintenance, property maintenance, restaurant maintenance, or a similar position.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and general repair work.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete routine repairs independently.
• Experience using common hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to safely lift and carry tools, equipment, and maintenance materials.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance work as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in restaurants, fast-food restaurants, commercial kitchens, or retail facilities.
