Middle School Reading Teacher with ELA Endorsement
Location: Palmetto, FL
Salary: Starting at $60,000/year, based on education and years of teaching experience PLUS SIGN IN BONUS $$$$

A well-established private school in Palmetto, Florida is seeking a dedicated Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) or Reading Teacher to join its faculty. Responsibilities
  • Teach middle school English Language Arts curriculum aligned with Florida standards.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that strengthen reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, students, and school administration.
  • Collaborate with faculty to support student achievement and school initiatives.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and campus activities.

Qualifications
  • Florida Professional Educator Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in English Language Arts with Reading Endorsement or Teaching Certification in Reading with Endorsement in ELA is required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Master's degree preferred).
  • Previous middle school teaching experience is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for literacy development and student-centered instruction.
