Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer -- Contract Manufacturing
Job Description
- Owning day-to-day quality with contract manufacturers and key suppliers.
- Driving supplier audits to maintain compliance to internal and regulatory standards, then reporting outcomes via dashboards and KPIs.
- Closing SCARs with airtight root cause analysis and verified corrective actions.
- Partnering cross-functionally to evaluate and qualify new suppliers that fuel an AI-powered robotics platform.
- Using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving to eliminate defects and reduce risk.

The Quality team is central to that mission—guiding products from prototype to production, validating processes, preventing defects early, and using field and product data to continually raise the bar on performance.
Your responsibilities- Serve as the primary supplier quality contact for assigned suppliers/CMs.
- Execute quality plans, perform supplier audits, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements; publish periodic KPI dashboards.
- Lead SCARs through closure, ensuring robust RCA and durable corrective actions.
- Support supplier evaluation and qualification in close partnership with Supply Chain, Engineering, and External Manufacturing.
- Facilitate continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and practical problem-solving.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s in engineering or related field preferred; relevant experience required.
- 5+ years of supplier quality engineering in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Depth in quality systems and tools: FMEA, DOE, MSA/GRR, 8D.
- Experience with Control Plans, FMEAs, and PPAP (or equivalent part approval processes).
- Strong engineering fundamentals with an eye for critical control points.
- Proficiency with SAA, Minitab, and JMP; advanced Excel for data analysis and organization.
- Clear communicator with strong quantitative/analytical skills; able to translate data into decisions.
- CQE and Six Sigma Black Belt preferred (must demonstrate deep core knowledge).
- ISO 9001 or AS9100 auditor certification (current or prior) preferred.
- Up to 25% travel, domestic and international. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to drive and/or fly to supplier sites.
- Employees must own a credit card and manage expenses personally for bi-weekly reimbursement.
