Private Funds Associate Attorney
Job Description
This position may be based in New York, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Chicago, or San Francisco.
Position OverviewThe ideal candidate will have meaningful experience representing clients in the formation and structuring of private investment funds, particularly funds focused on private equity, real estate, credit, and/or other illiquid asset classes. Candidates should have experience advising clients throughout the fund lifecycle, including fund formation, structuring, capital raising, and related legal matters.
ResponsibilitiesAdvise sponsors, asset managers, and other sophisticated clients on the formation and structuring of private investment funds.
Handle fund formations involving private equity, real estate, credit, and/or other illiquid investment strategies.
Advise clients on capital raising and related legal and regulatory considerations.
Counsel clients on a broad range of legal issues related to private funds and private capital investments.
Work collaboratively with attorneys across complementary practice areas to deliver comprehensive advice to clients.
Manage sophisticated matters while maintaining strong client relationships and attention to detail.
Mid-senior level Associate Attorney with meaningful private funds experience.
Substantial experience with private fund formation and structuring.
Experience with funds focused on private equity, real estate, credit, and/or other illiquid asset classes.
Experience advising clients on capital raising and related legal matters.
Outstanding academic credentials.
Prior experience at a leading law firm.
Admission to practice law and good standing in the jurisdiction where the attorney will be hired.
Strong analytical, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $310,000–$435,000 annually, with actual compensation determined based on experience and other relevant factors.
