Our facility is designed to promote re-acquisition of cognitive, physical and social skills in a naturalistic setting. Our rural 39-acre campus in Mid-Hudson Valley – located midway between New York City and Albany, NY – features shops, a library, music studio, post office, cafe, clubhouse, lounge, art studio, hair salon, gym, four large atria with natural light, and a park with walking/jogging path. Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As an OT at Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, providing expert care and support to individuals with traumatic brain injuries, ventilator care, neurobehavioral disorders, and complex medical recovery. Responsibilities:
Demonstrate competence in Occupational Therapy evaluation, goal setting, treatment, and EMR documentation
Chart appropriately and timely
Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers
Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
Maintain an excellent working relationship with facility staff members
Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Provide dependable, regular per diem coverage weekdays/weekends
Requirements:
Must possess a degree from an accredited academic program conferring the title of Registered Occupational Therapist
Possess a current, unencumbered, NYS license and maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment

1 year of experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred
