Salary range: $200K - $270K
Location: Oakland, CA, San Diego, CA
On-site work policy: Hybrid – 3 days in office (Wednesday mandatory), 2 days remote. Candidate chooses Oakland or San Diego office. Some travel expected for depositions and trials.

Compensation by Level:

  • Senior Associate (6-8 years): $200,000 - $245,000 base salary
  • Of Counsel (8-10 years): $245,000 - $270,000 base salary
  • Senior Counsel (10-12+ years): $270,000+ base salary (requires approximately $300K portable book of business)

Additional Compensation:

  • Year-end discretionary bonus (varies by department)

About this role

What we're looking for:

We need a seasoned Labor & Employment litigator with 6+ years of experience who can hit the ground running and independently manage a caseload from day one. You should be comfortable handling depositions, trials, arbitrations, and motion practice, with a strong track record in discrimination/harassment claims, wage/hour class actions, and EEOC/DFEH proceedings. Bonus points if you've built a portable book of business (required at the Senior Counsel level).

What you'll do:

  • Independently manage a full Labor & Employment litigation caseload driven by a major new client win
  • Handle depositions, trials, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings before regulatory bodies
  • Defend and prosecute discrimination, harassment, and wage/hour class action matters in state and federal courts
  • Provide strategic employment law counseling to public entities and private clients on federal and state compliance
  • Draft and argue motions, respond to EEOC/DFEH charges, and manage discovery
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior counsel across the Oakland and San Diego offices to deliver results on high-profile matters
  • Travel as needed for depositions, trials, and client meetings throughout California
