We are currently seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team.

    Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP):
  • Evaluate residents referred for speech-language pathology services

  • Assess speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each resident's needs, abilities, and rehabilitation goals

  • Provide direct patient care to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function

  • Establish realistic and measurable treatment goals

  • Monitor residents' progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate

  • Complete evaluations, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge documentation in a timely manner

  • Educate residents, family members, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and therapeutic techniques

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure the highest quality of care

  • Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations, including HIPAA and resident rights requirements

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university

  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

  • Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or geriatric care is preferred but not required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
