Join Our Team as a Speech-Language Pathologist!We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) / Speech Therapist to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team in Florence, Alabama.

What You'll DoAs our Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate and treat residents with a variety of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with nursing, therapy, physicians, residents, and families to develop individualized treatment plans designed to help each resident achieve their highest possible level of independence.
Responsibilities include:
Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide evidence-based speech and swallowing therapy
Complete evaluations, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
Educate residents, families, and staff regarding treatment plans and techniques
Collaborate closely with Nursing, Dietary, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and other members of the clinical team
Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and facility requirements
Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
Current or eligible Alabama Speech-Language Pathologist license
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric experience is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for providing excellent resident-centered care
