Job Description
Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal on behalf of a rapidly growing plaintiff-side litigation firm near Century City, Los Angeles. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a meaningful role advocating for injured clients.
The ideal candidate will have strong personal injury litigation experience and the ability to support attorneys through all phases of litigation, from filing through trial.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the trial team throughout the litigation lifecycle, from filing of the complaint through trial.
Prepare, propound, and respond to written discovery.
Draft motions, oppositions, and replies for attorney review.
Draft pleadings, declarations, correspondence, and exhibit lists.
Manage litigation calendaring and track deadlines.
Coordinate and notice depositions, hearings, and court appearances.
Arrange CourtCall appearances and appearance attorneys when necessary.
Organize and prepare documents for court filings.
Maintain organized case files and assist with trial preparation.
Support attorneys with additional litigation projects and case management tasks as needed.
Prior experience as a personal injury litigation paralegal.
Strong understanding of both pre-litigation and litigation phases of personal injury matters.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong work ethic.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Compensation $80k/yr - $100k/yr, depending on experience.
